Amazon.com Review This multipurpose tool created a stir in the kitchen when it came out, as the food processor did a generation earlier. In order to blend, whip, and chop smaller amounts of ingredients, it's no longer necessary to wrestle with bulky appliances. Immerse the 7-1/2-inch blender shaft, with its little blade on the end, into a pot where vegetables have been simmering, press the switch, and in seconds a creamy soup appears--with no need to dump everything into a big blender. Blend sauces and baby foods in their cooking pots, too. Blend a milk shake or juice drink right in its drinking container, or in the 2-1/2-cup beaker included in this set. Whipping cream and egg whites is just as convenient: a 5-inch whisk attaches to the motor when the blender is removed. For chopping nuts, herbs, garlic, or onions, there's a 2-cup chopper bowl with a special blade. The motor with the attached blender shaft can be mounted on a wall (mount included). Everything but the motor and the chopper-bowl top (both should be wiped with a damp cloth) can go into the dishwasher. This tool is more than handy, it's a revolution. The instruction sheet, unfortunately, is harder to comprehend than the tool is to use. --Fred Brack

Awesome product! December 9, 2009 J. Smith (Colorado Springs, CO United States) I have the 200 watt-version of this product, and it is wonderful! I do a lot of baking, and I have used the bowl that comes with it to chop nuts and even grind them fine for cheesecake crusts! It also works well to make graham cracker crumbs from whole graham crackers, because before I would have to put them in a bag and crush the heck out of them with a rolling pin.
I haven't used it to puree soups or anything yet, but my husband originally convinced me to get it because he said when he was a kid, his friend had one and they used to mix hot chocolate up with it - that it makes the best hot chocolate, I guess. :)
I know the Braun hand blender that I have works great and I recommend buying one, if you're thinking about it. I don't have a blender, and I know blenders are fairly inexpensive, but this takes up so much less room and has so much more functionality than a blender. Do it. DO it. :)
Broke after 15 months June 14, 2009 Konstantin (Portland, OR, USA) Bought this Braun MR430HC Multiquick Deluxe here on Amazon in March 200 8 and we were quite happy with it until recently, when it simply stopped working. We did not use it that often, and are surprised, given Braun's general impression of quality and durability.
It comes with an array of handy accessories and seemed like a pretty fail-proof design (it only has one button).
You can detach the tip and wash it in the dishwasher, which is great.
The perfect kitchen tool! Just the right size. May 19, 2009 A. Gutierrez 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I've had one of these for years and I would not live without it. It emulsified salad dressings better than any whisk and there's no need to "dribble in" the oil. Just put all ingredients int he bowl, turn it on and in seconds you have perfectly emulsified dresssing.
I like the size of the chopper unit too...mine lives on the counter top without being too obtrusive. I bought a Braun hand mixer that came with a slightly bigger chopper and I hate it. The bowl is too big for small quantities such as salad dressing and takes up too much space ont he counter and in the fridge.
I mainly use the chopper, but the stick blender comes in handy any time I want to puree soups or smooth out gravies. You simply put the stick blender into the pot and puree in a second. It's so much simpler to use and clean up than a regular blender.
Great product, shop for better price March 26, 2009 Tanga Sagrada (Colorado) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Truly a kitchen essential. Makes short work of so many kitchen tasks, clean-up is simple. It has completely replaced my traditional blender except for big pitchers of margaritas. Chopper/Spice mill and whisk attachments are also great. I have used it frequently for years. Finally wore out the Chopper attachment. Back then I paid about $28 (on Amazon). I have also given 3 or 4 as gifts.
BUT... you needn't pay the outrageous price quoted here. (Note: sold here by an Amazon partner). Google "Braun MR430HC" for a better price: under $50
Great only if it doesn't break fast.. March 10, 2009 Ashraf Awad (Atlanta, GA USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this blender twice because it is very useful and handy. Yet, it breaks really fast. The motor suddenly stops working. It happened twice, I bought it, used it, then after a year (as if it's an expiration date or something) it stops working! I will try another one, a stainless steel one this time as I realized I mostly use it for soups. Hope it'll last longer.
