I saw a toaster with a single long slot used on a TV cooking show once and have wanted to get one ever since. I do a lot of baking, including baking rustic breads. Because they are rustic loaves, slises usually do not fit in regular length toaster slots. Then I saw this baby. Not only is it a long slot toaster, but it has two of them. I was sold. I ordered one right away. In fact I had to wait because Amazon had not yet relieced them for shipping.
Upon arrival, I was not disappointed. It worked just as I had hoped. Not only does it work great for long slices, but it is the best toaster I have ever had period. Once you learn what settings to use for a given type of bread, be it plain old white, wheat, bagels, english muffins, etc., all you have to do is use that setting next time and it turns out perfect. I have not tried the warming rack yet, but I don't see any reason why it would not work great as well.
If you love toast. Buy this toaster.

Love this toaster. It looks great- elegant and slim.
Very easy to use- love the digital aspect. Just turn the knob to change the settings.
I don't think I'll use the bun warmer, but it is a pretty neat feature!
Highly Recommended!
UPDATE:
Had to mention two more things:
The small "footprint" is fantastic. Takes so little room on the counter compared to other four slice/two slot toasters!
It works FAST! Adding this because just two days ago, to my surprise, I found myself saying outloud, "Wow, that was fast!" Watch the settings, though- 2 dots or 3 dots, most, will brown that toast!
Oh yeah- my three teenagers all think it's "awesome" for what that's worth!

I have probably had a dozen toasters in my life, and this is the best by far of all of them. If you are willing to pay a bit more than the price of a regular ordinary toaster, this is the one to get.
This one is cutting edge technology as far as toasters go, it will toast your bread exactly the way you want it. Something you might not of experienced in the past " at least I haven't ".
My last toaster the T-Fal TT7461002 Avante Deluxe 4-Slice Toaster, Black, just went into the garbage recently after only a little over a year of not toasting evenly, knobs flying off and toast popping up completely out of the toaster onto the floor. " Go to there product page and watch a customer video of it, it's a hoot. It finally stopped working completely, it looked great but what a piece of junk. T-Fal is a French product and they should stick to being second or third best at making wine after #1 California.
BAGELS:::; Some of the reviewers mention the slots are to narrow to toast Bagels. I have no idea what they are talking about, I toast Bagels regularly and there is room to spare when I put them in there. Maybe they are not aware you are supposed to slice them in half, that is the only thing I can figure. The slots are 1 1/4 inch wide, that would mean the unsliced Bagel would be 2 1/2 inches wide " no way ". True there is no bagel setting on this toaster, but they can be easily lightly toasted on one side if you lay them on the warming rack and run the toaster through a long cycle.
We toast 3 different types of bread plus bagels and they use different settings, plus my wife likes her toast lighter than mine. Consequently we are constantly changing the settings on it, with the LED lights it's a snap with this toaster. You know exactly where you are depending on the number of lights lit up when you start toasting, and you can easily change it for 10 seconds while it is toasting if it is not where you want it to be. Yes there is a slight learning curve to know how many lights for the different types of bread you use. No big deal, in no time you will know exactly where to set it for what you are toasting.
I did notice the inside coils do not light up nearly as bright as the outside ones, this is probably intentional since there are two of them close together. Nevertheless they still toasted my bread evenly.
This Haier Toaster is fast, its beautiful and it toast's the way a toaster should. The worming rack is just an extra plus on this toaster, a way to worm buns or keep toast or bagels worm until ready to be eaten. After all these great features it even has a way to lift smaller toasted items up so you don't burn your fingers trying to pull it out.
You only live one life, and you should at least be able to get a decent piece of toast out of your toaster while you are still around.

I've never had a long-slot toaster before, but what a great idea! I love to buy bakery bread and sometimes receive homemade bread from friends that won't fit in a standard toaster, so the huge slots are good for that. This model is gorgeous stainless steel and chrome, and looks perfect with all my other stainless steel appliances. My two small kids are obsessed with the digital display -- they stand there every morning and watch the countdown until it's done, like it's the Times Square ball drop on New Year's Eve or something. So, at least for them, it's not just a toaster, it's entertainment!

This toaster works very good AFTER 3-5 empty toasting cycles. The manufacturer proposes an training procedure. I did not first read the manual then I burnt the 3-4 first toasts. The toaster looks good with its blue LEDs. It has very long and wide slot. In fact in ONE single slot you can put 2 regular bread slices side by side for a total of 4 per slot. It does not make sense to do that; it is just to give a measure of the toaster capacity. So, very good for long and large slices.
There are 4 minors annoyances:
1- The cord can be set and hook at one single location under the toaster. So, that is an inconvenience if your set is different than the one of the Toaster Architect!!!
2- The DEFAULT burning intensity is set to 4 over 9 which burns ... to much. The Toaster Architect like his dark!!! I am happy at 2 over 9! Read point 3 to understand the impact!
3- The use of the CANCEL button, for what ever the reason, RESETS all configurations to their DEFAULT value. Then, the next time you toast the burning intensity is back to 4 over 9, so dark toasts!!!
4- The control button and the toasting lever are not on the same side.
Nothing of that make this toast a bad buy just not perfect but very close.
