There's something inherently festive about red polka dots on a white background. Rims of many of the pieces are edged with 14-carat gold, which provides a sophisticated touch to even the most casual tea party. The Red Dots collection consists simply of a teapot, teacups and saucers, mugs, dessert plates, and this pedestal cake stand. All make fantastic accents when mixed with solid red or white dinnerware. With its nine-inch diameter and slightly raised, petal-style rim, the cake stand is ideal for presenting a small but lusciously rich chocolate torte, or a half-dozen frosted cupcakes. While there is no gold trim on the stand, Rosanna recommends washing it by hand and avoiding microwave use. Very cute cake stand- just one drawback though- it is quite small. Not large enough for a decorated 9inch cake

This is the perfect little stand to use on my kitchen table to hold fresh fruit. It is also great for cakes and cookies and cupcakes. It's not too big and not too small, just right.

I was so excited about this cake plate, until I received it. Little did I know that it was only approximately 9" in diameter. I looked back on the web page and I still did not see any information on it's size. I assumed it would hold a standard round cake. The size may be posted, but I didn't see it. Buyer beware.
