5 out of 5 stars Nice hyrid for us.   March 5, 2010

We love our gdiapers! They fit our kiddos better than several other types of cloth diapers and are SO cute! We use them with both cloth inserts and with the disposable inserts: the disposable inserts are less bulky and more absorbent for us. The liners definitely do get dirty w/ poo (but hey, it's poo...what else would you expect?) but our covers only rarely do (again, though, it's poo - I'm okay w/ washing it).

Interestingly, after reading some reviews, g's contain my son's blow-outs...disposables do not! With disposables, it's an entire outfit change.

Yes, they're expensive but at least they don't have plastic & you can flush them and/or compost them.

These can act as normal diapers or as training pants. I went online for a good price on some leakproof training pants and i cam upon these so i got them reluctantly but without any other choice. I still cannot believe how well they work i thought for sure there was no way they wouldnt leak, but they dont. When i have my next child i will use these and you dont have to buy as many of these because you can reuse the outer shell instead of having to wash it every time there is pee or poo in it. just toss the inner parts in the washer and use a new snap in liner. i use them with the grefills at night and the prefolds from walmart during the day. either way they dont leak. If you are going for a cloth diaper i recommend this one. And when using the grefills i only use one a night so i pay for 128 for around 44 dollars and use them for 128 days so i dont no about cost its less per month than disposables

5 out of 5 stars Love gDiapers!   March 13, 2010

I've been using these since my baby turned 3 months old in Fall 2008. She started in medium gDiapers, and eventually moved into large. I've always flushed the poopy ones, and thankfully, haven't had any issues with my toilet (on city sewer). In the warmer months, I compost the non-poopy ones.

Yes, it's true that the gDiaper snap-in liner often gets dirty unless it's a really solid poop, but it washes off easily enough. I just invested in some of the gCloth refills to use on days that we're not out and about so much, but I still find the disposable refills convenient for when we are on the move.

I feel so good about not throwing hundreds of diapers into landfills, not to mention that I'm not enclosing my baby's bum in all kinds of chemicals and plastic. I really think that my baby has experienced less diaper rash since these are so breathable. I have another baby on the way, and he/she will definitely be a gBaby too.

Another gDiaper success story: A fellow mom was using plastic disposables (boo) and was complaining that overnight, her son would pee so much that the diaper often exploded and all the gel stuff would seep all the way into the footies of his pjs. So, I mentioned that I've never had that issue with gDiapers overnight up to 12 hours (I usually use 1 1/2 liners at night). She went out and bought a starter kit the next day, and was happy to report that there are no more explosions! If only I could convince her to use them all day too!

5 out of 5 stars How can I sell a starter pack of brand new, unused gdiapers(size S) on amazon?   January 8, 2010

I cannot take them back to the store, and our son outgrew them very quickly. We put these on our registry, and got more than we needed. If you are interested in buying this item from me, please contact me. Thanks! carla@hellocarla.com

4 out of 5 stars Works Great with regular cloth diapers too!   May 22, 2010

I bought these to use with regular diaper service diapers. I triple fold the diapers and they fit perfectly. These are the best diaper cover I have found (I have been using cloth diapers on my children for over 10 years now.) When they stopped making real plastic pants for diapers, I switched completely to g diaper covers. They are very easy and my daughter never have areas of irritation from velcro, etc. They are easy so easy to use even my husband willingly changes diapers! I would recommend these to anyone who is serious about using cloth diapers.
